" The Degree Of Happiness" by Betrand Russell

Who is Betrand Russell? Betrand Russell or his real name is Betrand Arthur William Russell,3rd Earl Russell was born in Trelleck, Wales on May 18,1872 and educated at Trinity College, University of Cambridge. He was a British Philosopher, logician, mathematician, historian, social critic and Nobel laureate, who emphasis logical analysis influenced the course of 20th century thinking. His famous book known as "The Conquest of Happiness" tells the readers about the concept of happiness. The excerpt from one of his article "The Degree of Happiness" describe that Happiness is subjective depend on the people itself which we as a human being  cannot measure the certain degree of happiness that happen in our life. Every human being have their own definition of happiness. Someone happiness sometime different from each other based on what position they have in life. Sometime human happiness not always depend on their knowledge but it is related their enjoyment in life. From the article, it stated that happiness has different sort which it involved human own perception what's that bring happiness in their life. From my opinion, happiness is not always depend for how rich we are or how clever we are in some field but it is depend on our own perception or other perception to describe their own definition of happiness. Every human has their own definition of happiness that sometimes other people will said that's not happiness but only people who experience the happiness knew what they mean by happiness. Besides, the author also applied comparison for both field based on the article to identify which field achieve the certain degree of happiness in their field. As example, the artists and literary has different experienced of happiness compared to the scientists where the scientists got their happiness through their work than the artists.
